On 21st September, 2021, Ambassador Chikezie Ogbonna Nwachukwu received in audience, in his office, the Charge d’ Affaires of the Embassy of Canada in Mali, Mr. Douglas Scott Proudfoot. The meeting discussed strengthening collaboration between Nigeria and Canada, in diverse areas including education, health, governance, migration, trade and investment, security, among others. The meeting further analysed the political situation in Mali and other West African countries, while Mr. Proudfoot assured the commitment of the government of Canada towards addressing the political situation in the sub-region.
